The Lennon studio is very near the university campus. It takes about 2 minutes. “The Lennon Studios form part of the Student Village complex and are organized into flats containing between 5 and 8 study bed rooms each.” (LJMU Accommodation,2010.) In the academic year 2011/12, bedrooms at Lennon Studios will cost either £105.00 or £114.00 per week depending on size and are let on size and are let on a standard 42 week. To request a room at Lennon Studios, student need to complete the accommodation request form on web site. Student must find and decide to the international college on the Internet. All of them are very near the university campus. Chisholm College is the cheapest one. This college can accommodate 394 people but students have to cook by ourselves everyday. Glenn College is the most expensive college but it has two meals in day so students don’t have to cook.

Students never need to go to the downtown. Also There are shopping mall near the university and many kind of restaurants: Chinese Italian Japanese etc.

B) Academics
① ESL center / classes
Liverpool John Moores University has no ESL. Because of that, students who want to study English have better to go to a language school before the classes starts. (Natsumi Ogawa. an exchange student in JU in 2010.) On the other hands, In La Trobe, this section will introduce about ESL at LTU. There are 1A~5B classes and 3 courses. ftFirstly, General English has stage 1~5. This course is to learn a wide range of common communication resources in English. It takes 50 weeks to graduate this course. Secondly, English for further studies has stage 4 and 5. If students can graduate stage 4, they can go on to stage 5. After Stage 5, they can enroll in regular courses. Finally, English for Business is a class to learn to use English at work or enroll in Business College. It takes from 10 weeks to 20 weeks to graduate this course.(Personal Interview 2010, “aswho ryugaku” online 2010 )

These societies consist of the students from different countries and ethnicities and it seems that the students from each country have to join their own society. These societies are run by students

Liverpool is accessible and has many methods of transportation. There are many local buses running in Liverpool and long distance buses also running through Liverpool. It is easy to go other cities from Liverpool. It takes about 5 hours from Liverpool to London. Liverpool has John Lennon Airport, which was named for John Lennon. There is also a station called Lime Street Station. It takes 2 hours and a half to go to London.

A) Health care / insurance / counseling
In the United Kingdom, we don’t have to pay money to get the medical services because they have “National Health Service (MHS)”. First, to use this, we need to register our name with a General Practitioner of Primary Health Care. That is a doctor in the local area. If a person feels sick or has something wrong, they can ask the general practitioner and receive medical services.

5. Conclusion
As you can see, the largest difference point is season between United Kingdom and Australia. It is affect climate, people, and transportation. Japanese students go to study abroad in Australia from February to December. On the contrary, Japanese students also go to United kingdom from August to May. There is other difference from structure for international students. In LJMU, students can have department class at first, but international student in LTU have to get score that school decides score. If students cannot get score, they have to ESL. Two countries have similar point. The point is streetscape because Melbourne looks like Europe.
